He was Assistant General Counsel for the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Senior Legal Adviser and Deputy-Secretary General in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, and General Counsel for Black Sea Trade and Development Bank in Greece.
His 30-year career at international financial institutions has spanned a wide and varied field including settlement of disputes, international lending and investment transactions, prevention of corruption and money laundering, drafting of constituent documents of international entities, and mechanisms for resolution of employment matters.
