Our overall Deputy Head of Chambers, Anatul Fateh, based both in Dhaka and London, has had eight years' experience as a banker and has been a consultant for London West End construction/ commercial solicitors Beale and Company (founded 1837), chief legal officer of KAFCO (Bangladesh’s ammonia/ urea multinational joint venture), in-house Counsel in bolero.net (an e-commerce trade initiative affiliated to the global banking co-operative SWIFT), and project lawyer (on secondment from the Halliburton Group) for the construction of the Nigeria LNG Project (the world's largest LNG project at the time, owned by a Shell affiliate). Prior to the set–up of our Dhaka annexe he had already done external legal work for some substantial Bangladeshi businesses: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Bangladesh Shipping, Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation, Islami Bank Bangladesh and WorldTel Bangladesh.

Enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh since 1994, Anatul is the founder head of our annexe in Dhaka, whose practice is predominantly corporate and commercial. Outside of Chambers he has interests in languages, history and current affairs, and he speaks French.

Anatul is chair of Chambers' Management Committee.
