Tahmina is a New York State attorney and lives in Seattle, Washington State, from where she has a practice in US immigration matters. As a barrister, she can advise firms wishing to expand and locate to the UK on various aspects of English law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Tahmina worked in a firm of solicitors and in the Legal Department of London Regional Transport. At the Bar, she worked mainly in criminal defence matters. She obtained a scholarship from her Inn to undertake an Internship in the US, which led her to be involved in death penalty issues and, reproductive freedom rights and interning with a District Court Judge in Seattle.

Tahmina, a native speaker of Bengali, is an accomplished singer in Bangladesh. She has travelled extensively.
