Leeann was originally called to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago in 2001. She then returned to London and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2005. She dealt mainly with civil matters. She then transferred to the Bar of England and Wales and joined Chambers as a member in August 2011.

Her time as a practising Solicitor has given her a sound knowledge of civil litigation, with a particular interest in travel litigation as she spent almost 4 years within this field. She is able to advise in this area and understands the challenges that face it, especially after the Court of Appeal judgement of Gouldbourn v Balkan Holidays. Further she has significant knowledge in matters arising from convention claims (Athens and Montreal).

During her time as a solicitor Leeann gained accreditation to the Law Society's Panel of Personal Injury Solicitors, demonstrating an in depth knowledge of the field of personal injury, in relation to which she is happy to accept instructions.

Leeann is also registered with the Free Representation Unit to handle employment matters and is able to take instructions on these matters.

Outside of Chambers she is a Parent Governor for a school in Wimbledon.
