Some of the matters in which TCC Dhaka Barristers have worked are listed below: 1. Advised Biman Bangladesh Airlines as borrower under a syndicated loan from 11 banks for USD 114 million. 2. Assisted and advised Biman Bangladesh Airlines in its purchase of 8 passenger aircraft from Boeing Company for USD 1.2 billion. 3. Represented Marka, a local advertising agency, in its acquisition by global advertising giant Ogilvy & Mather. 4. Advised a local IT company bidding for a WiMax licence issued by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. 5. Represented an international advertising agency before the District Court in an action for the unauthorised use of its name and logo. 6. Advised a local financial institution in connection with its USD 1.9 million term loan financing. 7. Advised a local financial institution on its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges. 8. Advised a consortium of local and foreign companies bidding for a power project in Bangladesh under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of Bangladesh. 9. Represented an international NGO in a judicial review before the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh concerning the unlawful acquisition of its property by RAJUK, the development authority for Dhaka. 10. Advised and assisted a hedge fund based in Sweden and Singapore in setting up its portfolio management business in Bangladesh. 11. Advised a local shipping company with respect to the arrest of a ship for unjustified deviation from its agreed route. 12. Advised a major petroleum company in a USD 118 million tax matter involving complex and inter-related issues of fact and law.
