Reaj enrolled as an Advocate with the Bangladesh Bar Council in 2009. He appears regularly before the District Courts in banking, commercial, and general civil matters. He has worked on many issues of telecommunications law and practice, and has engaged in drafting Shariah-compliant banking documentation and issues of enforceability of foreign judgments (notably in connection with the ISDA master agreement).

Outside of Chambers, Reaj has an academic interest in human rights issues, and has been a legal consultant for the Bangladesh chapter of London-based Article 19, an organisation supporting freedom of expression.
