Adnan trained under one of the leading commercial lawyers in Bangladesh. He has practised in corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, banking and finance advisory work, mergers and acquisitions, public and administrative law, Admiralty and shipping matters (including drafting proposed new Admiralty Rules), information technology and taxation. He has also had substantial experience in advising on energy, intellectual property and investment laws.
Adnan has published articles on international trade law (particularly, documentary credits). Outside of his work as a lawyer, he has been chief executive of the Environmental Development Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to preservation of the environment. He was the lead programmer in the team that designed the first ever 3D computer game produced in Bangladesh.
